The tech giant promotes transparent development in enterprise AI

At the VentureBeat conference, IBM's Cox delivered a convincing case for open innovation in business machine learning. Cox, VP of artificial intelligence systems and head at the joint MIT and IBM artificial intelligence laboratory, stressed the crucial nature of collaboration in innovation, particularly in the current artificial intelligence ecosystem.
The IBM executive pointed out the complex character of transparency in artificial intelligence, questioning the simplistic perception of the idea. He noted the expanding network of accessible frameworks from diverse origins, including technology corporations, universities, and nation-states.
However, he read more articulated reservations about the standard of transparency in numerous LLMs, noting that some deliver little more than a "bag of numbers" devoid of openness in their development processes.
